Thaha Municipality, in Makwanpur District within Nepal's Bagmati Province, sits along the historic Tribhuvan Highway between Kathmandu and Hetauda — a stretch of hill country that has welcomed travelers for generations. This platform is the municipality's own tourism initiative: a single, official place to find verified places to stay and connect directly with the people who run them, without a booking agent standing in between.

Three Regions, One Municipality

Daman is the municipality's best-known hill station, perched along the Tribhuvan Highway and famous for one of the widest Himalayan panoramas in Nepal — on a clear morning, the view from its terraced garden viewing tower stretches all the way to Mount Everest. It's the region's most visited destination for sunrise travelers.

Chitlang is a quieter valley village reached via the historic Chandragiri-Chitlang trail, still walked today by hikers retracing an old trade route to Kathmandu. Its economy runs on organic vegetable farms, pine forest, and small goat-cheese producers, and its guesthouses and homestays are rooted directly in the village community.

Palung is the municipality's third valley, a fertile farming area along the highway corridor between Daman and Chitlang. Known primarily for its vegetable farms, Palung is now opening up to visitors as part of the municipality's wider tourism effort — new listings for the area will appear here as local properties come on board.

Money spent through this platform stays in Thaha: with hotel owners, with the farms and producers who supply them, and with the wider municipality working to grow agriculture, tourism, and infrastructure together.
